JOANNE CACCIATORE, PH.D shares a laugh with a fellow hiker before participating in the inaugural
Barefoot Walkabout up Brewer Trail on Saturday, Oct. 30, in honor of October's Infant and Child Death
Awareness Month. Hikers walked barefoot up Brewer Trail and placed rocks with names of children who
have died at the top of the trail to help cope With the loss of their loved ones. Developed by Sedona's
Cacciatore, who is a grief therapist, researcher and founder of the MISS Foundation, Saturday's event
featured more than 30 hikers heading up the trail in a silent hike.
