Blues man plays a
il Halloween. Jazz Jam
Arizona Blues Hall of Famer Jimmy Mack
will be hosting a Halloween Jazz Jam Party
on Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Marketplace
Caf6 in the Village of Oak Creek.
The live jam party will feature members
of Mack's performing and touring ensemble
The Wicked Koalition Band. The party and
jam will begin at 9 p.m. and will continue
until the wee hours. The Marketplace Caf6
will be giving away a $100 cash prize for
the best costume along with other gifts. The
night has a $3 cover charge per person, $2
for those in costume.
Mack, a 2004 inductee to the Arizona
Blues Hall of Fame, is a legendary performer
who has recorded over 30 albums and
movie scores including several hit singles.
He brings more than 35 years of music
industry experience to the stage and has
been involved in a large number of events
and festivals as a performer, principal and
event manager.
The Wicked Koalition Band is comprised
of a number of touring and recording musi-
cians who have appeared with Mack during
his extensive musical career. Koalition
members are well-known musicians who
have performed on hundreds of recordings
and are currently appearing worldwide.
Koalition musicians have performed at
such prestigious venues as Royal Albert
Hall, Woodstock 2, Radio City Music
Hall, The Lincoln Center as well as many
stadium performances with legends such as
Richie Havens, Tina Turner, Sarah Vaughn,
Manhattan Transfer, Buddy• Rich, Sly
and the Family Stone, Indigenous and the
Osmonds to name just a few.
