10 area's scariest characters
There's something brewing at the
Marketplace Care on Halloween night as
it prepares for its first ever Village Thriller
Dance Party on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 7 to
10 p.m.
After the tricks and treats have run
out, all ghouls, goblins and varieties
of costumed characters of all ages are
welcome to attend a fun
evening of dancing,
order off an outra-
geous Halloween
menu, enjoy drink
specials and partic-
ipate a costume-
contest at the end
of the night.
This frightful
night will feature
punky vampire disc
jockey Batrina with her
sidekick Spike, aka Tom and
Shondra, as they spin every-
one's favorite styles of the latest
and oldie greatest tunes. Zombies will
be on hand for photo taking and for any
soul brave enoug h to take their chances
dancing with them on the dance floor.
Two performances of the Thriller Dance
from Martha Edwards and her group will
break out unexpectedly during the evening
so guests are warned to beware of what
might lurk around each MPC corner.
MPC drink and menu specials will run
throughout the night as guests can order
a Vampire Wine, Ghostbuster Slimer,
Beatle Juice Ice Tea, Batty Manhatty,
Spike Beer and Dead Man's Te-Killya.
Special menu items will include Witches'
Brew Stew, Terrifying Tacos, Zombie
Pizza Pie, Frankenfurters and-more.
Attendees are invited to dress up
in their wildest, most creative
and outrageous outfits as
the MPC Thriller Village
Costume Contest will
take place at 9:30 p.m.
There will be a $50
cash prize including
other great prizes
for runners-up.
There will be an
additional prize for
P the Best Costumed
Dancer of the night.
Cover for the party is
$3 per person, which will
be added to each guest's bill and $2 per
person for those who attend in costume.

off of State Route 179 in the Village of
