DreamWorks strikes greengold again with 'Shrek Forever After' If you're looking for a delight- fully entertaining, hilariously funny, and heartwarming cinematic fairy tale, then "Shrek Forever After" is the film you'll want to see this week. Part four and what is labeled to be the final chapter in the Shrek saga guarantees audi- ences with the return of all your favorite lovable caricatures, like Shrek, Fiona, Donkey and Puss in Boots, voiced by Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas, respectively, along with a few new ones that are sure to keep you in stitches. Yes this film is targeted at the little ones, but that shouldn't stop you from enjoying it just the same. Like the previous three, there is Remember... I've said it before and I'll say it again, DreamWorks knows how to make a kids' film that adults will certainly enjoy as well. In my opinion the animation department outdid themselves this time, excelling and surpassing the previous three films by a landslide. Some of the broom- stick-riding witches in a few scenes looked almost lifelike and from what I understand, the 3D rendition is absolutely spectacular. I remember when the original "Shrek" was released, the anima- tion team had commented on how real they made the characters look, apparently to the point where they actually had to tone down what they had created. Well, this film made it look like they kicked it up a couple of notches. The thing I find most appealir/g about the Shrek chronicles is that each one is better than the one before it. The writers use a simple and elegant method of taking all the best material from the preceding story, spicing it up a bit, and then building on top of it, creating a super structure of enchanted awesomeness. And for those of you out there who are just as sad to see the Shrek series come to an end as I am, cheer up because next year the "Puss in Boots" film will be in theaters and I am sure it will be just as captivating.
