RED'ROCK NEWS, Sedona, Arizona Wednesday, January 13, 2010 - 3B Artists invited to enter El Valle show There's still time to get in the game for E1 Valle Artists Association's first show, the EVAA Community Art Show, at Jerona Java Car6 & Gifts in Cottonwood. The show opens Saturday, Jan. 23, and all artists living in the Verde Valley area are invited to enter. The show will be juried and judged by Clive Pates on the day of take-in, Monday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artists may submit up to two original works, completed within the last two years. Due to space restrictions, pieces larger than 30" by 30" cannot be accepted. All two-dimensional work must be suitably framed and ready to hang. Declined works must be picked up on Tuesday, Jan. 19, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Takedown is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The show runs'for two months, with the opening reception on Saturday, Jan. 23, from noon to 2 p.m. Works may be offered for sale -- a 20 percent donation to EVAA is requested -- if the artist wishes. Cash awards, at least $500 in total, will be distributed to winners in each category; the actual amount depends on the number of entries received. E1 Valle Artists' Association is a local nonprofit, offering infor- mation, workshops and support for art and artists in and around the Verde Valley. For entry forms and additional information, call 634-8623 or e-mail RitaElkins@ commspeed.net. Hello, readers.
